Hello, I'm a french IT teacher specialised in linux,

This next year of school (September 2018 - June 2019) my students will build some projects, these projects are 70% of their final grade after 3 years of school.
I have 35 students divided into groups of 5 (so 7 groups). For exemple one of the groups will build a solar cluster. And one student of this group suggested that we use orangepi's because he has already used them and he said they are inexpensive comparing to the raspberrys. So I said that I will test them, I bought myself an OrangePi zero of ebay with its case and the USB board that goes into it, I use it with armbian and I have to say that it's pretty good, I had some issues with the first wifi connection but solved it with a simple google search, I'm asking you to send me 8 orange pi zero plus 2 so they can benefit from a decent setup that would be able to run on usb power and wifi once configured with their projects.

If you need more information, please contact me in private.

If you accept, but you think that another board would be more useful please send me the more adapted one.

Respectfully, thanks

I have had bad experiences with the plus2, the cpu would get really hot, takes a few power ons to even boot after some usage. best pi is the orange pi zero h2,and cost less so you can get more of them and this is what I offer, a fast booting os, and a link for good lcd's: http://www.orangepi.org/orangepi ... d&tid=3734#lastpost

If you connect to much power consuming usb devices to the pi at once it might not boot, like mouse+keyboard+usb stick with bright light might not boot first try if you don't supply enough voltage, my h2 boots flash player in 20 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1ONsmJVuTg I got all that done just from exploring all the files in debian 8.

Hello,

I'm a professor at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. I'm teaching the Electrical Engineering course (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) and we're now planning to cooperate with Skyfi Labs and create a project for students to learn the basics of GSM technology.

I'm not sure what your intend to do.  This website says these are kits with Arduino included.  I don't think any more hardwear is required.

So what would you do with the Orange Pi?

It’s important to be clear and upfront about what your expectations are for the project and what you’re going to do to help them. Also, they provide assignment help to complete thesis tasks easily. It’s important that you communicate this clearly because if you’re not clear about what you want, it’s really hard for them to know what they need to do to help you.
