I would need full log. Partial logs almost never help. And please, upload it as a file somewhere, long posts make forum less readable.

Since the system is much much more unstable and glitchy then before the update, I will probably try a clean install+update tomorrow or something

@chaszim i see you found your rtc module and does it work when you set it as module ? and if it work ...

There the start of the problem. It's not installed yet, but, I have figured out where it goes, no problem. Nore do I actually know how to address it, once I do install it, from within OpenELEC.
Now, I sure hope it doesn't need to be addressed from root, because, I also don't know how to get to root, if it does. hopeless hua?

I have an orange pi pc plus with openeelec installed in the EMMC but if I boot the opi with a microsd in the slot, this tries to load the operating system from the microsd and I get black screen. If I start without a microsd, openeelec starts without problems ... How can i boot from emmc with a microsd card in the slot?

Do you have any os on that card? Did you have OpenELEC before that on it?

OK, did a clean install/update/setup. The sluggishness is gone (knock on wood), it all seems to function well, but that same video files still stutter.

Then it seems that bootloader is still there. What you have to do is to fully clear SD card, especially the first 10 KiB of the card. I guess you can find some tutorials on the net. I would rather not write the tutorial, because it is easy to specify wrong disk...
