HI!!!

here are that you are looking for long time.

first, i have to give a lot ot thanks to BRUSKI about his help and his tools.

well. let's go!!

we need the tools contained at this link:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/JBBjY3OKce/SDFormatterv4__1_.html

inside you can find :
-SD formatter
-hpformatter
-Phoenixcard v.3.10

step one: formatting the SDcard
:
- there is no diifficult on this step. you must format your card like ever, using SDformatter or HP formmating tool
step two: burning image on SDcard:
- start phoenixcard
- select the drive where your card is
- select your image clicking at "img file" bouton
- make sure that "product" is checked
- click on "Burn" and wait until process ends
step three: installing on OrangePi
- make sure that your board is completely off- insert the sd card into slot and start Orange
- on your screen will appears one status bar. wait until ends and then power off your board
- retire the SDcard from Slot and start OrangePi

That's all!!! now you have your image into EMMC

I don't have and I don't ...

I have a program (called bootfix) that can load EMMC (I call it NAND).  Check https://github.com/phelum/CTNandBoot

If you want to load EMMC you have to make a file for each partition and then supply the list of files to bootfix.  The target device has to be in FEL mode.  bootfix will create and download the MBR then download the files (partitions).  Each partition name is derived from the file name.

This download feature is new and not thoroughly tested.  But it seems okay here.  The bootfix program can be compiled to run on many machines.  The libusb module does have trouble on PCs with USB3 ports.  I normally run this program on a CubieTruck or RPi.

Cheers,
Steven

Well, the first post is maybe more intended How to write an Android image on the OPI PLUS emmc.
I don't know if it's work with a linux image.

@Laokoon
I am not a fan of scripts, you have no clue whats going one and you learn nothing and if it does not work, then you are here complaining that it does not work!

But you can try @loboris script for the EMMC install, but you have to write it first on the SD-Card and then launch the script from there.

@phelum
compiling gives me an error:

I do ...

@fritz

I've fixed the error in my git repository; apologies for that.  But I should mention that my program only works with A20.  If anyone knows of a Livesuit file for the H3 please tell me and I'll try to get my end to react to the different processor ID.  It might just be a case of sending the correct DRAM specs.

Cheers,
Steven

@phelum
Your latest commit looks more then a simple syntax error fix.

Well thread is about H3 and not A20.
As I know there is no livesuit (linux) tool for the H3.

Yes, quite true; I'm still trying to get the program to access the H3.

It was originally written because it was so hard to get an A20 to boot from NAND.  Recently I changed it so a user can load NAND directly because the board doesn't have an SD card slot.

I'll update this thread if I get anywhere with H3 access.  It's the fes_1-1.fex file that I download and execute that is the current problem.

Cheers,
Steven

I have tried to follow the process, mainly to delete the image I have in the EMMC, and I do not get to see the bar at all. Should I use different SD Cards or is it that I should press a button on the board to initiate this process?
I also have tried to get the board in FEL mode, to burn the EMMC from the computer, but PhoenixSuit just crashes the second it starts formating.
Any hints?
