Hi,
I also tried the latest OpenELEC build from 2016/8/6 on my opi PC. It did start as jernej saw from my console log. I'm using an HDMI to DVI cable may be this is a reason. I manually wanted to change the display settings (like armbian script h3disp is doing), but at the moment I worry a bit....

I took power off after ~5 minutes because H3 is getting extremely hot. Meanwhile I got a heatsink (bought from Kolbers.de), so the CPU is protected a bit. Anyway, temperature ware continuously increasing starting from 53 degrees to 69. Then I took power off.
Some log:
OpenELEC:~ # cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq
1296000
OpenELEC:~ # cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq
480000
OpenELEC:~ # cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
68
OpenELEC:~ # cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
70

I have not seen this issue with the latest armbian. I'll go back to armbian as long as there will be a next OpenELEC image, where I could try it again. But I can provide more information, if needed.

Best Regards

Just registered to report that after 6.8.2016 OTA update, CEC is working flawlessly on my 2011 Samsung tv. Thanks for your hard work jernej.

Disable RSS in kodi settings.

thanks for your answer. I would, if you could tell me how... My main issue is (still) the black LCD display.
Have a nice day

Can you try this update? Link is valid for 14 days.

I disabled USB support in U-Boot, which fixes at least one boot problem and speeds up booting. Also power (green) LED turns on almost immediately after a power on (patch taken from Armbian).

Ok, I'll give that a try. g5828aec is the same ending, as the current version I'm running. But, by disabling usb, I guess it does pick usb back up, farther down the stack somewhere anyway right?

I've just got to remember how to get it to act like an automatic update so I don't dump my user settings, which it's not saving again. and I think I've got too many runnable apps stored on the SD card. I need to expand the partition, it refused to do a backup last night.

File version didn't change because I had local changes on my laptop which weren't pushed to the github. For manual update that is really not important. USB in a bootloader is really not important too. Kernel has it's own implementation, which is untouched and the only really important (although far from perfect).

In one word "Yes".  And, yes. Jernej been doing a fine job of stearing and keeping the branch on track, in your absence.

jernej i use tvheadend as backend dvb streamer and kodi-htsp client as frontend on openelec-kodi. i experience random freezes on channel switches on client side. the server can continue to work on other clients.

i suppose this is a client side issue. how can i find the real cause of this? what do you suggest?
