Hi,

I would like to port archlinux to the Orange Pi.

For that I need to generate a custom u-boot. I found this page on the wiki. it references a GIT repository
  1. git clone https://github.com/Orange pi/Orangepi-bsp.git
Copy code
However, the URL is invalid and I can't find the repository.

Can you let me know where to get the BSP from?

Thanks,

/~JC

Thanks. As I am new to this, can you let me know which of the LeMaker repositories contains the u-boot files for the Orange Pi?

Just used the script.bin of the Orange image, turn to sys_config.fex

I cloned the lemaker-bsp repository. But when I tried
  1. ./configure Orangepi
Copy code

it did not work of course. So what board configuration should I use to build u-boot and kernel files for the OrangePi?

I do not understand what you mean by
turn to sys_config.fex

Hi, you must use the program 'bin2fex' to convert script.bin to file.fex and edit it.
-> see here: http://forum.lemaker.org/thread-221-1-1-.html (for Orange it's the same as banana pi)

Thanks for the clarification gaara! OK, so I managed to convert the script.bin file from the lubuntu image into BananaPi.fex (IMHO it would be a lot easier if you made it available as a download on this site or github...). I then replaced the BananaPi.fex in lemaker-bsp and complied the whole thing successfully.

I have one more questions: are the kernel config options in lemaker-bsp optimized for the platform already or do I need to adjust them manually before kernel compilation? I saw a lot of modules being compiled in the process.

Thanks.

You only copy lubuntu (orange pi website)boot parttion  script.bin to image. It's OK.

It does not work with archlinux. When I try to boot with their kernel the display does not wake up. I want to find out what is missing. Can you share the .config file that you used to compile the lubuntu kernel? It would be a great start.
