Sorry for delay reply.  Our original idea is to do a good job in the hardware platform, many open source developers will do software contribution, at present we need more software work.

Android is not Linux??????????????

Are you kidding me?

YEs it is is not clean Linux the way you used to see linux--but it is Linux in itself-- Google made it from Linux, it has even kernels from Linux--havent you noticed it?????

Anyway--I do not care what your knolidge  about Linux and Android is , and I do not care What  Android to your opinion is. All I care about is that Android is present on Orange Pi boards and is well supported and documented.

You can use whatever you want to--it is your choice and noone cares what you use on your board.

If Raspberry Pi boards are perfect and other boards are torture--then why you use Orange Pi instead--  "no logic here'.

Well, I do not know if you are aware but Android right now is in beta maybe status. Because it comes without googleplay preinstalled, and when you install googleplay it installs, but does not start. Like there is something wrong either with Android itself or maybe with rights it should give to apps during installation. The same with youtube, it installs and starts, but for some reason does not play videos. So, that's why is not known how android will behave if install Kodi, like will Kodi work and start.
I think Android needs more polishing.
