Hi to everybody:

I'm new to the forum. First of all, thanks to loboris for the work done. I've tested all the ubuntu flavor from loboris on OPI-PC and i've got troubles with USB's and Networking. Each distro failing with diverse items. I've manage to solve them and add Mali suport and GPIO to the kernels, so you get 3D acceleration out-of-the box. That's why I'd like to share this images with all of you.

I've focused on PC-like linux not on Multimedia, so no tests on sound and video decoding. I've added spanish language support natively to the images to make it easierfor spanish speakers. (I'm from Spain)

Anyway,  [url=https://mega.nz/#F!WBEXXLqQ!Yp8AsufjM59CdgHw7oUCKA]here[/url] is my work.

Hi Loboris!

I bought OrangePiOne and installed your image"Ubuntu Vivid for OrangePiPC with MATE".
I felt it very comfortable and useful.

The my issue on this time is:
I want to connect and configure external RTC module.
I have "DS1302 RTC Module" and confirmed its driver was included in the kernel image.
But I don't know how to configure it on that Ubuntu image.
Could anyone let me know them?

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I found by myself the solution about the DS1302 RTC module issue.

I refered to the page belowOliginally written in Chinese)
https://translate.google.com/tra ... Fdetails%2F46050031
http://blog.csdn.net/hustsselbj/article/details/46050031

*You need install WiringOP in your system.
*You have to revise the sourcecode "ds1302.c" to adjust the time suitable for your location. Original code write just only a UTC time to DS1302.
For my case(in Japan), I simply  add "+ 9" to hours at "setDSclock" section in the soucecode.

And, (if you use Ubuntu 14.10 or later or debian jessie), place the unit configuration file "ds1302.service" under the directory "/etc/systemd/system/".

File name:"ds1302.service"
---------------------------------------------
[Unit]
Description = write time to ds1302 from linux system
[Service]
ExecStart = /usr/bin/ds1302 -slc
Restart = always
Type = simple
[Install]
WantedBy = multi-user.target
WantedBy = graphical.target
------------------------------------------

This works fine for my case.

There are no disadvantages. Advantages? In short: we fix thermal issues (no overheating), MALI is overclocked, eMMC installer, no binary blobs, build on much newer factory kernel, updated with upstream patches, active support, you get updates usually once per month ... semi automatic, Debian way.

It's a huge progress from what you can find here.
