Hi, i'm having a question regarding using wireless-sticks.
you told me on github those devices aren' ...

I only want to tell you that CPU can be a bottleneck if wifi is softmac device. Also direct comparison with RPi is not the best, because it has latest and greatest kernel, which could have better drivers. Last but not least, if you are using OPi2 or OPiPlus there is actually a USB hub chip in-between, which is a bit crappy.

I can confirm that ath9k_htc wifi stick works, but I didn't do a speed test.

This log doesn't show anything problematic. Tell me for one distribution which works as it should.

Folk,

please test latest git if channel switching bug is solved. It works for me. If you encounter any crash any time I would like to get a crashlog, which can be found in /storage/.kodi/temp. Sadly, bug fix is very ugly.

As I stated numerous times before, I don't have as much time for this project as before. Is there anyone who would like to help me to develop proper kodi support?

Thank you! I have an ath9k_htc using on my rasp-pi, having very good results.
what i tried now was using the rtl8187 on the rasp-pi, i had the same results as using the orangepi: 2mbits.
so its definetly the stick/adapter (maybe driver like you said).

i'm building openelec right now and then i'll try the ath9k_htc stick on the orange-pi. i bet the results will be good as the rasp-pi results.
thanks

Edit:
I tested the ath9k_htc stick, results were good:
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 46.88 Mbit/s

Thats also what i got with my raspberry.
