I tried to upgrade ffmpeg from 2.8 to 3.0.1 , catch up with OpenELEC.tv, compile and make image passed, but can't startup Kodi .

By catch-up with OpenELEC.tv you mean master branch? Currently, that won't work, due to incompatible Kodi H3 support patch.

jernej,  i have configured kodi to auto shutdown/standby when idle in 15 minutes.
almost every 3rd standby process hangs, led changes from yellow to red and heatsink stays warm.
Opi PC is not responding to power button either.
I have tested it on my both Opi PC's with new and old sd cards.
any ideas?

Only that it might be display/graphic related issue. What exactly fails? Resume? Are there any artefacts on display?

im turning off tv and then wait till opi PC goes sleep. After turning on tv there is no any output, just blank screen.
As Opii PC not responding to power button then only solution is to plug out/in power cable.

Here is test image for OPiPC with latest Kodi and enabled full official & unofficial repositories (only w_scan plugin is missing in unofficial repository). Unfortunatelly, I'm not able to test this currently, so I would be grateful for any kind of feedback on this (especially if some plugin doesn't work here but it works on RPi for example).
